these photos are of the Murrumbidgee river at Darlington Point, starting August 2007, then October 2007 December 2007 and April 2008. In December it had rained heavily so the riverlooked healthy, now it is lower than ever.

well where do I start? Havent been feeling 100% for a while but just thought it was due to my asthma and smoking LOL. When it got to the stage that I couldnt move from the computer to the microwave, a distance of maybe 12 feet, without puffing and panting, I decided it was time to go to the doctor LOL He did a chest xray, but in the meantime I went with hubby to help friends move. They live in Mildura a good 8 hour drive away from home. I shouldn't have gone, I knew I wasnt well enough, but felt better than I had the week before so thought the change of scenery might do me good! I was worse than useless, although I made a few suggestions which they took up when rearranging the new house. We decided to visit mother in law on the way home. Supposedly about 4 hours away it would be faster getting home from Griffith, even though it was in NSW(6 hours) than it would be getting back from Mildura to home.
The drive through Balranald and then Hay to Darlington Point was so unbelievably dry. we thought we had seen dry coming up through Tocumwal to Griffith before or going to Mildura the week before but this was DRY!
It was good seeing Mum again and SIL. Geoffs other 2 siblings that live in Griffith were gallivanting overseas. One was in Rome as part of her once in a life time trip with her hubby and had her 50th birthday in Paris, Geoffs other sibling a brother his wife and little daughter were in Beijing for a Carpet Conference for a week.
We only stayed a night with Mum as all I wanted to do was get home and back to the doctor for the results of the chest xray. As soon as I got home I rang the surgery and was able to get in immediately, to be informed I was literally "drowning", as my heart wasn't pumping properly to clear blood and fluid from my lungs, the breathlessness had nothing to do with my asthma in fact the treatment I was having might have contributed to the problem not relieved it! Cortisone can cause these side effects apparently. No wonder I felt so lousy. I have given up smoking when my drowning was at its height. and now with fluid tablets feel so much better I dont need the pump anymore either. ( or not like I did) I still need to take it easy as my days vary and I will be having more tests to see of there is permanant damage to my heart
